Paul and I built a drum out of some old pine.  We used Charlie Catlett’s table saw and cut 17 staves, each with angle 10.56 degrees off the vertical (geometry to the rescue).  Continue reading →

The Ukelele cost a total of $8 (the tuners).  The frets are nails, the bridge is a door hinge, and the leather pad at the bottom protecting the string is from an old pair of lederhosen. Continue reading →
