Sorry for not having time to blog. We will catch up tomorrow with a nice long post. Yesterday we drove far far into the bush and recorded a choir and several more Bible stories in the Komba language. I have a lot of fun pics, but here is just one, until we have time to explain more:
BTW, did anyone listen to the choir audio files I posted? Did you enjoy them?
This morning we had some changes to our plan, but eventually drove out of the bush and to Tamale. In the morning we fly to Accra, and begin preparing our trip home.

Yes, the audio clips were great! I was amazed how clear they sounded…could even hear the shuffling feet. I loved the harmonies :)
We have all the groups edited now. Can’t wait to upload all the MP3s…
The audio files are awesome, Pete. Hearing the choirs really does capture the essence of what you’re doing there – awesome. Lots of people at church talking about your blog. Thanks for keeping us informed so we can continue praying for you all in “real time”. :-)
Thanks. It has been just so wonderful to hear their singing and know their hearts.
Pete & Beth,
Your bog is great. Loved the singing…”Call” and “Response”…part of a great group singing practice through the ages across the international spectrum. Translation of scriptures and testimonies is a great way to communicate within the Ghana community. Good to know that Pete has an affinity for roosters.
Talked to Paul and Emily. (twice) They are doing well…percussion, studies etc. Weather is better in Chicago. Do have a safe trip back home…Tues/Wed.
Love you both,
Dale & Linda B.
Thanks for checking in on them. Only another day before we get home and hug them!
I love the audio files and the beautiful pictures! (I especially like the interesting vibrato of the young caller. What a unique sound!) You always do a great job of communicating the interesting details of your adventures. (love the flip-flops and socks)
I pray that God does everything He wants to do through this trip and this ministry.
Thanks. Yes, we loved the vibrato too. They were just too cute!
I couldn’t get the audio files. Wondering what I was doing wrong since others could hear them. I was using Windows not a MAC.
You may have to right-click the link and say “download”. Then double click it in your Downloads directory. It is a standard mp3. You could try the iPad. I think that would work too.
So glad to have been able to follow your journey in Ghana. The sounds and wonderful faces make my eyes water. So thankful for both of you doing some of what we had dreamed about many years ago. We are proud of who you are and whom you serve!!!
