Our Morning Hike

This morning we took a quick hike up to a large cross overlooking the city.  At the top we stopped and prayed for the city of Juarez.  If you have been watching the news, you know that Juarez needs God; army troops are patrolling the streets.  In at least one place, however, the smiles of the kids and the dedication of the staff have helped to make a small, peaceful oasis of God’s love.

  1. Good Morning to all!
Thank you for the beautiful post of the morning hike…being atop that mountain and
praying over the city and reflecting on the
small oasis of God’s love is very poignant –
to be present in that moment and lift it all
up to God in that very real and tangible way….may you also bring that experience home with you when the “mountains” of returning back to routines and everyday living with it’s own unique set of circumstances present more of a challenge
than a victory…remember the most awesome
privilege we have in being adopted into His
family!! Stay strong in His word, grace,
and power and take comfort that we have a
most perfect Father who will never leave us
or forsake us, who protects us and leads us
    with His mighty arm!
Praying for the whole team, for Emmanuel,
    and for Juarez.
    Godspeed!
    In Christ Alone,
    Chris

  2. God’s blessings to all of you!
What great stories of the work, fellowship and sharing God’s love to the children at Juarez. We thank God for your willingness to serve and your eagerness to be a blessing to some very dear children whom Jesus loves so much. We are a little jealous of all you who are so excited to share God’s love and receive such a fantastic blessing in return. The photos are fantastic! They reflect not only your thankfulness of being able to do what you are doing, but reflect the great joy you are bringing to the children. We love the purple bunk beds too!!!

We continue to pray for you and your safe return to your homes in the Naperville area.
Blessings and our love to everyone on the team.
