God Revealed

Pastor Steve gave the group a challenge at the beginning of the week.  He asked us to remove the electronic clutter from our lives  and listen for God.  Here are some things that God revealed to the team:

It is so nice to see you again, God, in so many different places with so many different people (Vern). The passion of the people who sacrificed their lives to relocate here is beautiful (Carolyn). The Haitian culture is very enjoyable (Fred). What a blessing to spend a week being used by our great God to serve others and come back with closer friends (Dan). They are a resilient people (Haley). There is so much hope and happiness in the Haitians despite all that has happened (Russ). There is such joy in singing, playing and working alongside them (Beth). Committed people from all over the world are working together to better the plight of the Haitian people (Harry). Lord, hear my prayer for the Haitian people (JP). Hold the orphans in your tender care; bless them with homes filled with love (Rachel). Thank you for bringing us away from home and changing our perspective to realize what true priorities are  (Sarah). When all the comforts and clutter of life are stripped away, we see you, God; in the strength of Haitian boys rebuilding their church, in the laughter of abandoned orphans, and the sacrifice of our team stepping out and stepping up to show the world that love is a verb. (Susan)

We each come back changed by our experience in Haiti, and thank God for the opportunity to serve these beautiful people.
